Twelfth Night by William Shakespeare is a comic tommyrot of mistake and confusion. When a depressed Olivia calls on Marvolio becaus e of his public dry humor saying, [h]e is sad and civil,Ă‚(Act3, Scene4, Line5) he enters with a curious air and starry eyes. Marvolio adds yet another offer to the bandage by believing Olivia loves him because of the letter he authentic from mare telling him to wear yellow stockings and act with optimism and Olivia deject out love him.
When he arrives Olivia is shocked by his new snappishness and raiment saying, Why this is very midsummer madness (Act3, Scene4, Line56).
